These tips below will help you enjoy every bit of your Data.
- Set “Data Limit” on your devices and disable data connection when it is not needed.
- Visit your settings and set the limit on the data usage by clicking the “Set Limit button” under “Data limit”
- Restrict background applications on your device from Using Data. This will drastically reduce data wastage and consumption for you. These changes can be done on any device, Desktops, Laptops and Mobile phones.
- Step 1: Open Window Settings
- Step 2: Click on Network & Internet.
- Step 3: Click on Data Usage.
- Step 4: Under the Background data section you can set a limit on data usage by the Windows and store app features
- Ensure to install an updated Anti Virus on your PC/Phones.
- Deactivate all cloud storage except when / where necessary
- Ensure that your Wi-Fi password is secure at all times. This will help you control unauthorized connections to your network/Modem.
- Disconnect all connected devices which are not in current use.
- Adjust video streaming quality from video sites (e.g. YouTube etc.) for optimal viewing and lower data consumption.
- Turn off Automatic updates on computers and mobile gadgets. If operating on a Windows 10, you may also turn off “updates from more than one place”. To turn off Windows automatic update follow the below steps:
- Step 1: Open Window Settings
- Step 2: Click on Update & security.
- Step 3: Click on Windows update.
- Step 4: Click on Advance options.
- Step 5: In the “Update options” select the button under “Pause updates” and set the duration for when you want the updates to run on your device.
Following these simple but effective tips will help you reduce data usage and cut your charges.
