Spectranet Expands Home Fiber to Power the Next Phase of High-Speed Broadband in Nigeria

The Nigerian home has changed. It is now an office, a classroom, a shop and a cinema, often all at once, with phones, laptops, TVs and smart devices sharing one connection. To keep up with that demand, Spectranet is expanding its Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) infrastructure as part of our 15th anniversary.

Fibre and 4G LTE, working together

Spectranet Home Fiber runs fibre end-to-end, directly to your premises, so bandwidth can scale as your household grows. It is built for 4K streaming, low-latency gaming, remote work and homes full of connected devices.

Fibre does not replace our 4G LTE network; it complements it. As our Chief Operating Officer, Sumit Gambhir, explained, wireless gives customers flexibility and reach, while fibre delivers high-capacity bandwidth wherever the physical infrastructure is in place. Together they form one broadband ecosystem for residential and enterprise customers.

Where Home Fiber is available

Home Fiber is live in selected high-density estates and commercial corridors in Lagos and Abuja, covering more than 300 major locations, and coverage is growing regularly. Spectranet also serves customers in Ibadan and Port Harcourt with wireless, fibre and enterprise connectivity.

Better around the network, too

Alongside the fibre rollout, we are optimising the network for stability, latency and uptime, and improving our self-service portal, digital payment gateways and support channels.
