How to Change Your WiFi Password

Follow the steps for your Spectranet MiFi or CPE model. Connect with a LAN or USB cable before you start.

  1. Connect your device to your computer using a LAN or USB cable.
  2. Open the guide for the device model supplied with your Spectranet kit.

Please note: Do not change any other settings. Doing so may affect your device and internet connectivity.

ACE

  1. Connect your computer to your Spectranet device, then open a browser and visit http://spectranet.mobilewifi/ or http://192.168.8.1.
  2. Login with username admin and password admin.
  3. Click SETTINGS and select WIFI SETTINGS.
  4. Find SSID (WiFi name) and WIFI KEY (WiFi password).
  5. Change the WIFI KEY to your preferred password and SAVE.
  6. You will see a SUCCESS notification. You may also rename the SSID if you wish.

EVO

  1. Connect your computer to your Spectranet device, then open a browser and visit http://192.168.8.1.
  2. Login with username admin and password admin.
  3. Click SETTINGS and select WIFI SETTINGS.
  4. Find SSID (network name) and SECURITY KEY (WiFi password).
  5. Change the password to your preferred value and Apply.
  6. You will see a SUCCESS notification. You may also rename the SSID if you wish.

ACE MIFI

  1. Connect your computer to your Spectranet device, then open a browser and visit the device address.
  2. Login with username admin and password admin.
  3. Click SETTINGS and select WIFI SETTINGS.
  4. Find SSID and WIFI KEY.
  5. Change the WIFI KEY and SAVE.
  6. Wait for the SUCCESS notification. Rename the SSID if needed.

FREEDOM

  3. Click WLAN SETTING.
  4. Find SSID (network name) and PASSWORD (WiFi password).
  5. Change the PASSWORD and Apply.
  6. Wait for the SUCCESS notification. Rename the SSID if needed.

  1. Connect your computer to your Spectranet device, then open a browser and visit http://192.168.8.1.
  2. Login with username admin and password admin.
  3. Click DEVICE SETTINGS and select WLAN SETTINGS.
  4. Find SSID and SECURITY KEY.
  5. Change the SECURITY KEY and SAVE.
  6. Wait for the SUCCESS notification. Rename the SSID if needed.
